Isleton, CA Library Event March 10th, 2018. We really enjoy doing book signings and this was one of the first with our new book, Vintage Camper Trailer Rallies.
What a gorgeous drive to Isleton, CA. We wove our way down two lane roads towing our 1955 mansion on wheels. It was beautiful with the picture book farms sitting off the road on one side and the Sacramento River on the other. A bit hair raising as we crossed several bridges. With my lack of ability to judge height I kept asking Paul if the bridges were tall enough for us to tow the trailer through. He sweetly just rolls his eyes. Thank you to the cars that backed up so we could get across the bridges. We were definitely not too high but our big girl is a bit wide for some of those narrow bridges!

We always enjoy sharing how we turned our hobby into a full time business! Start small. Be Passionate. Become the Expert. We learned by making some mistakes but also by just getting out and doing what we love. We shared with a great group of Sisters on the Fly from Reno, NV (thank you for coming) and several others from the local area about our business. We always get a good turnout at the Green Haven Pocket Area location. It is fun to look back and consider the road we traveled. After the lecture we invited the group to come tour the Mid Century Mobile Museum. Casa de Fruta March 1st - 4th www.vctbootcamp.com What a great display piece to share with fellow restorers. About 200 people from across th US and Canada gathered to learn how to restore vintage camper trailers from some of the most respected builders and restorers in the hobby. Angelo and Grace came along to help for the weekend. The Mid Century Mobile Museum is comfy for two, but a bit tight when 4 are camping. We were able to fit a couple cots in the front of the Museum for them and their dog Jewel. (Jewel is our Vintage Camper Trailers Mascot)
